I have been ticketed twice for it in Tempe, Arizona. The fine was around $100 I believe. This was in the mid 90's when I was running was 4 twelves, and 2 amps.

I used to run two 12's a few years back but in my G35 I'm just running a single 12" Alpine Type-R with a beefy amp and it works really well with the factory Bose stereo/sub. I don't think I'd want anymore bass in the car.
I forgot about the latest factory installed nuisance. The rear L.E.D. brakelights on the new Caddy's. When it's dark out and somebody applies their brakes, the light emits a glare. I don't have any glare issues with any of the Xenon headlamps though, i know a lot of people complain about glare from oncoming vehicles with them.

Which is sort of hypocritical of you, since in that other thread you are adamant about others not smoking because it affects you. I’d rather some guy drive by while smoking ten cigarettes at once than to go by emitting noise pollution which actually hurts my ears. Seems to me the ultimate in lack of consideration, since truthfully, you can buy a set of headphones to ruin your hearing without affecting anyone else’s. That way you don't force others to suffer.

I've had factory installed LED break lights on my Infiniti since 2003 and I find them to be a lot better than the halogen ones. Aside from looking more modern and attractive, they can vary their brightness far faster than a halogen bulb (and with higher lumens) which shortens the reaction times from someone stepping on their brakes to the person behind them reacting to it.

No, it is not hypercritical at all. I knew this was coming too, but I have been ticketed for it, so I mentioned it. Here is the deal, I had those super loud bass cars when I was a teenager. That was 15 years ago. As I have gotten older, and had every one stolen from me, I grew out of it. I have a pair of 6 and a half inch subwoofers in my car now, hardly enough to affect anyone outside of my car.
p.s. Don't you know it is illegal to drive with headphones on?
What is the deal with led tailights? Are they brighter? I saw them at Checker for only $20 a pair, and they will fit on my Escort. Are they better in any way than regular bulbs?
Oh I agree. I hate the idiots on Harleys who have a need to rev their motor at a dead stop in traffic to test the limits of my ear drums. Then they take off with their exhaust at 100+ db to increase the perceived size of their testicles.
1] not all are Harleys, some rice rockets are louder.

OOPS does it make you feel smaller somehow?

It's strictly the newer Caddy's that give off the glare for me. Everyone else's L.E.D. brakelights seem fine.

Most aftermarket sets that I have seen are cheaply made crap and do not project light anywhere near as well as a factory made setup. I find that vehicles with LED's product a brighter light, the increase in brightness when stepping on the brake pedal is also much more immediate and they look more modern/expensive which improves the look of a car as a whole.
