Bascially the stereos with sub woofers should be illegal. I am working on a ray gun that will fry them and will make a fortune on woofer hunters.

I don't like loud rice rockets but in general the bikes give off a piercing pulsating sound that is much more painful to the ear than the loud deep exhaust note given off by an aftermarket exhaust on a car. This is because many of these bikes have little to no muffling, something like running a car with straight headers which is very displeasing to everyone around you. I'd sooner have these bikers get hit than ride around purposefully annoying everyone. It is a painful noise and should be made illegal.

My car is sealed so damn well that unless I have my windows down the bass I'm outputting at high volumes is barely audible to those outside. I'm running an Alpine Type-R which is no slouch when it comes to pushing DB's but a quality vehicle will isolate noise effectively.

I loved driving in my new car with a 500watt stereo system STOCK!

I couldn't believe the greatness of the sound. It broke that stupid thing LAPD says where if they can hear it within a measly 50ft then you are breaking the law. What a bunch of crap! So why let cars come out like that?

R E V E N U E

So I upgraded to a 2000 true watts system.
And a DVD player. You may read this and shake your head. But I am very responsible...so save your comments.

Yeah I pretty much swear by Type-R's because they offer very crisp bass reproduction while hitting low notes at a very competitive price point. They can hang with JL W6's for a lot less cash.

It is no different than a new Z06 Corvette in terms of acceleration. It has way more power than you can use on the street, but they still will sell it to you. However, if you use the power, its tickets galore. Same thing goes for a high power factory stereo in terms of noise ordinances.

the Harley comments reminded me of 25 years ago back in Madison on a major cruise nite. My bud got pulled over in his AMX and as he was getting a ticket for loud pipes, a dozen baikers from the local club rumbled by. As we stood there on shaking pavement, we asked the cop about it..... he looked at us and said "are you kidding me??". And proceeded to finish writing our ticket..
