I can only comment on cars I have owned, the best car was a '63 Corvette coupe, the worst as mentioned before was the Bricklin, a close second was a '64 Jaguar XKE, that thing had to have the engine pulled just to replace a clutch, twice in one month, the starter motor was reached through the firewall on the passenger side, and the car boiled over in traffic if idling during the winter. The gear box was not synchronized, you had to be at a dead stop to go into second or low.

Yes, this is the worst car, no doubt.

Pintos, Vegas, and others aren't the worst...just horribly unreliable dangerously combined with poor workmanship. But at least they were safer than a Trabant! Well, as long as you're not getting rear-ended in a Pinto, anything's better than a Trabant.

The last time I was in Germany it was possible to rent a Trablant from the German equivalent of the American firm "Rent-A-Wreck."

The Czech Skoda was a similar Eastern Bloc car.

The worst car I ever owned was a 1975 Dodge Dart (what was I thinking?). It was the last Chrysler product I ever bought.

The worst-looking car is the Pontiac Aztek. The American Motors Gremlin wasn't too pretty either.

I now own a '91 E30 BMW with the small M42 engine. Suits me fine — easy to work on. I also have a Honda Accord to drive into town on Sundays.

Ford F150 has been pretty darn reliable so far. Everyone I've talked to has kept theirs for a very long time. I hope to do the same.
