The super-bargain car i just bought has nice window tint on all windows except the back one which has NONE. Weird.
Should I try and DIY with the tint kits they sell at the auto stores, or should I just pay someone to do this window only?
I see places all over town offering $99 tint jobs but I wonder if they'd charge me less to just do the rear window...? The stuff at the stores is about $15.00.
If you do it yourself...it'll look like just that! A homemade job. Any tinting place will do just the back for a small fee. I've got a guy coming out to the house tomorrow to do our new car.
You have a $600 car like me, so it is a total waste to go to a shop. I tinted my whole car myself for $35. It does not look bad, or have bubbles. The hardest part of the job is cutting the window tint. That is why I bought pre-cut tint. I found exactly what you need below. It is $15.00, and it will take no more than 20 minutes to install....
I'll be honest, I don't care much what it looks like. I live in South Texas, I'm more concerned about keeping the sun off the kiddos in the back seat. I've never been much on appearances. As long as I can see through it and it helps block some sun.
I just want it done and overwith as quickly as possible.
I am the type of person who does everything on my own unless it is completely and utterly out of my control. I gave tinting a couple of attempts, I just can't do it good. Too expensive to practice until perfection so I just have a good shop do it.
