Anyone have a problem with this and know how to get it fixed for less than $400? I googled & called a dealership and there is no recall for these but alot alot of complaints of people having to replace them several times.

The glass in my front window didn't break, but I need to get it fixed ASAP so the window can be rolled up and I sure don't have $400 for that.

You didn't specify if your window is manual or power, but you can unbolt the window from the regulator and then hold it up with a couple small boards. That will get your glass closed while you figure out the best avenue for a permanent fix.

Thanks...it's power. We had it wired for $45 so it'll stay in place for awhile. It's just such a PIA for every once while when I have to pay a toll or go thru a drive-thru.

hate to say it but try ebay for the regulator or have a salvage yard near you do a national search for the one you need. I've never worked on the Liberty but some regulators are a pain in the kester to get out with the newer cars. They use rivits instead of bolts and you have to drive them out or cut the off.

I've had a similar, on-going problem with my automatic windows on my 2007 Jeep Liberty. I'm surprised there hasn't been a recall. Thankfully, it's been under warranty the whole time I've been going through these issues.

I have had problems with every single power window...and the driver's window twice. Sometimes the window will fall all the way down the door...before I even have a chance to tape it in place. I suppose, however, that does save me the embarrassment of having a duct-taped window.

I will never buy a Jeep again. They can keep their shoddy windows, electrical systems, etc.
Btw, did I mention I had to have the A/C condenser totally replaced at 6k miles? That was also a whole lot of fun. Especially the part where I took off work and wasted a vacation day.

Well there is a petition for a recall that I signed. I doubt it will do any good, but it is obviously a problem for alot of people.

I'm disappointed too because I have a friend that won't drive anything but a Jeep, so she's been really happy with hers. I've only had mine for a little over a year.
