2006 Honda Ridgeline purchased new in July of 2005, will be hitting 40,000 miles in less than a week. Short miles but used hard as a garden service truck. Rarely put more than 5000 miles annually on any vehicle I have owned, so expect to keep this one for a while.
1997 Toyota T100 that's sitting just shy of 180k. 3.4l V6, burns no oil, everything is all original and works perfectly. Looks like I've been "averaging" 2500 miles a year on the poor thing for the past 8 years or so. I suspect that time, not miles, will be the death of this truck. But I also expect that it's the last truck I'll ever buy.
Knowing what I know now, I doubt I would have ever bought a truck. I'd sell it if there were Any value in the dang thing (best estimate is that I might get $3k in my local market), but I can't get into anything else in similar condition (excellent, needs nothing, zero dents/rust/paint issues) for what it's worth.
While it would be nice t get 300,000, I only expect the next mile, and then the next and the next. I do not want to put too much pressure on the poor thing. Sometimes if you expect too much, you get less. One mile at a time is fine with me.
I, and the rst of the extended family, managed to get over 500,000 miles from a 1979 Chevy C-10 longbed 1/2 ton truck. 400,000 of those miles were with an Olds 350 gasoline V-8. If I ever move to the southwest I will find another just for grins.
280K on a 1995 manual trans Nissan truck. Runs fine, in fact in April I drove it to Chicago and back, no problems.
But the Michigan rust is killing it. Engine and major components are strong but it is starting to look like crap and the bed is now rusting through. It's rarely been garaged. I'll be selling it in a couple of months (it's no longer a daily driver) but I will miss it.
