OH-NO!!!

Possible the worst engine ever put in an F-Series pick up.
All I do bro, and I do mean ALL I do, every single day, is maintain a fleet of F550's with 6.0 and 6.4's. I absolute HATE the 6.4 liter. 6.0 isn't a bad engine, when, like I said, you fix all the crap that goes wrong with every single one of em. Since our 6.0 fleet is pushing 10 years old now, I don't see much of them for major issues anymore, because I've replaced all the bad stuff on just about all of them.

I agree, the 6.0L (SIX-POINT-OH-NO) was a dirty fat turd.

The 6.4L was a bit better, but still was no 7.3L.

The new 6.7L is pretty good from what I have heard.

I hear ya man, I have a 7.3 too. Love the engine, oh and that sound! We'll be camping way out in the woods, and off in the distance I'll hear that sweet CHUG-CHUG-CHUG coming our way. I'll stand up, turn to my wife and say "There's a Powerstroke coming..." Hahaha.

2001 Ford F 150 Super Crew 100K just turned over and nothing has ever gone wrong except 1 700 $ part for the a/c, Amazon Green hope it never breaks I just got sticker shock, I think I paid 24,700 in 1999, yes that is correct when Ford made the new Supercrew they were made in 1999 even though they called them a 2001 model, great for me when re sale comes if ever

1989 GMC 350 TBI 367,500 original motor never touched it still purring along. I add a quart every 3k change oil at 5k.
1999 Ford 7.3 150,000 miles all original. Change oil at 5k.

I normally expect 200,000 easy. The 89 GMC 350 is a great engine. Has plenty of power, passes smog clean and is very very simple to work on.

What's your truck and how many miles do you think you'll get on the clock?

I have a 2002 S10 4x4 Blazer with the 4.3 currently with 146k on it. I replaced the intake gaskets about 10k miles ago and spark plugs/cap n rotor button/plug wires at 120k and a fuel pump at 125k.
I split DD status with it and my Camaro(fair weather) and use it to pull my boat. I expect it to go another 100k. The 4.3 is a rock solid engine. They don't make the HP nor get the best fuel economy like some of the newer stuff but they are pretty easy to work on, parts are plentiful and cheap and they last.

I expect that the 2012 Ford Super Duty 6.7 diesel that I drive for work will go 300K without much fuss--that will likely be enough to outlive me.

I think my Titan's engine and transmission may go well over 200k. The rest of the truck.....eh.... I'm not so sure about.

Ive got a 2005 GMC Z71. Currently at 220,000 hoping to get about 400,000. By that time I'm sure I will have to replace the tranny.
