Well, this is what happens when a good car starts being assembled in America. It will be interesting to see how long it is before they pull it out of the US.
You really believe that lie you posted? They always have been junk!

Wow, what a hypocrite you are. You are saying Toyota's have always been junk. But, your car is one of the biggest piece of junk ever to be made in history...the Chevrolet Vega?
Asian car buyers are the most stubborn people ever. It wouldn't matter if 98% of Toyotas were smoking piles of junk on the side of the road, they would still insist
that they were the best. Don't get me wrong, domestic buyers can be the same way. My wife's family swears by Chrysler even though they give them nothing but trouble, they're very loyal. The simple fact is that today domestic makes are of equal quality compared to there Asian counterparts. End of story. This isn't 1983.

Are you of the opinion that they're going to be of equal quality when they have 36K miles on them? When they have 60K, 100K, etc.? I'll agree that the "domestics" match or exceed them when they roll off the line brand new with zero miles. As the miles accumulate though, i'm not so certain.

Not me (or anyone I know)...we buy Toyotas because they have been dependable and long lived.
The first Toyota that I have trouble with will be the LAST Toyota that I'll ever own. Toyota will join Ford, GM, or Chyrsler on my DO NOT BUY list!.
Anybody that thinks they will be able to own a car and never have any trouble with it is living in a fantasy land.
Well, I must be in fantasy land. I have three Toyotas in the driveway....all with over 100K miles....that have NEVER been in a shop (except for tires and alignments).
I'm moderately handy, mind you....I do brakes and routine maintenance myself. The only time one of my Toyotas let me down on the road was when a serpentine belt broke after 9+ years. I now replace them before they break.
By "trouble", I mean the big stuff....motors, trannies, bedeviling electrical problems, etc.....never had any of that. No A/C problems either...
Contrast that to my Ford F-150 that is on it's 4th transmission in under 100K.
But, like I said, if I ever have trouble with a Toyota...that's it. Screw me once and I'm DONE with ya...I won't be back for more!
