I love my Jeep 4-banger. It's a blast, and light as a feather.

Some of the best cars in the world are 4 bangers, including many race cars. Want proof? Watch the WRC. Or the Formula Fords. Or the IDRC. Or visit a Lotus or Caterham showroom. Or....

Well folks it looks like Toyota relented...finally.

Toyota Vehicles : Toyota Announces Details of Remedy to Address Potential Accelerator Pedal Entrapment / Toyota

NHTSA and other consumers claim they really aren't fixing the underlying issue, and that this is simply a stopgap measure. That's a lot of vehicles to be recalled though.

yep. Then those same people are convinced that if they had that many issues with a toyota, then the others must have even more problems. But whatever you do, don't confuse their blind/lack of thinking with the facts !!!!! They go completely nuts!

Now Toyota is recalling 100,000+ Tundras due to frame corrosion which can cause rear brakes to fail or spare tires to fall out. In fact Toyota is recommending owners remove their spare tires before taking their Tundras in for the recall!

Wonder what the naysayers will say now?

To me Toyota made some good cars from the late 1980's till about 2004.

Since then it's all downhill.

My brother had a 2003 Toyota Avalon XLS sold it and this month purchased a 2004 Lexus (the 8 cyl. model - sorry forgot the model name). He looked at the new Avalon and saw the lack of quality.
