Default How good are you? Name these cars...

Hi everyone!

I am developing a calendar of classic cars. I purchased about 35 stock photos and not all have complete names.

I need the manufacturer (i.e. Ford) and model, and the YEAR. Some of these come with certain details, but are missing the year.

I have 13 to name here: http://classiccarscalendar.com/namethatcar.html

Any responses are greatly appreciated; they're all numbered.

Thanks!

-Derek

car #3 is definitely a Buick ( around 1950)

The grill and those portholes on the side definitely says--" Buick"

I might know a couple of these:
#3 - That's a 1949 Buick Series 80 (Roadmaster) (notice the 4 gun ports in the fenders from WWII styling)
#6 - 1972 Chevy El Camino (or I'll yield to GTOlover, it's probably a 1971)
#12 - 1977-79 VW (notice the headrests)
#13 - 1957-59 Nash Metropolitan 1500 Series III (right-hand drive). Owner has taken many liberties with the aftermarket chrome accessories.

I think #3 is a 1949 Buick Roadmaster convertable... #10 is a modified late 40's Ford.

1 1957 Chevy Bel Air
2 Ford, late 30's
3 1949 Buick Roadmaster (first year for the round ports on the fenders)
4 33-34 Ford V8 coupe
5 unsure, definitely a pre WWII model
6 1972 Chevy El Camino (turn indicators are the clue)
7 1968 Corvette (could be a 69 too but my instinct says 68)
8 59 Cadillac
9 Ford Model A, unsure of year
10 1947 Chevy Fleetline (the grille had a center divider the next year)
11 1956 Chevy Bel Air
12 VW Beetle, year unknown
13 Nash Metropolitan, year unknown

I debated it as well but the doors have the flapper style handle. It could be a '68 with '69 doors.

Also It doesn't have the Stingray chrome peice above the gills. This was added on in '69 but was absent in '68.

So I'm not sure on that one either way.

Edit...now I'm leaning toward '68. The key to this one is the door handle. The '68 had a push button release on the key hole that you kind of had to utilize the flapper hole and the button at the same time to open the door. If I could see a closer shot of that I could make a better call....

Edit 2: OK...I'm changing my answer to '68....and that's final.

Man... I sure came to the right forum.

I'll continue to monitor this (I seem to have started debate in certain areas...) but even with these answers I'm good to go.

Thank you all so very much. We hope the calendar sells well--it'll be "up" in a few days, at the homepage of that same site.

Thanks again,

-Derek
