Try Ebay- a lot of dealerships list on ebay if your not comfortable purchasing from an individual. We found 5 of our cars on ebay- 1 was from a private seller, the others were dealerships. All turned out great.

True, but we're talking to someone so new to innernet car shoppin' that they had to send a friend to ask about where to look. I wouldn't send a newbie online car shopper to craigslist unless I hated their friggin' guts.

I have bought 3 cars from autotrader and all were well worth the price. You will find more junk on craigslist than autotrader.

cars.com and autotrader

Their search criteria is really handy.

I just picked up a clean, low miles, one owner '03 Mercury Grand Marquis from a cars.com ad.

my friend cars.com is the only sight to look for used cars. They have the best selection, plus KBB values and other stuff.
