To say the 4th gen 1LE wasn't a performance upgrade is ignorant. In 1995 a stock 1LE beat a stock Z28 by over 9 seconds on a one lap pass of the Road America road course. That's a down right BUTT WHOOPIN... I find those who scoff never came in contact with a REAL one since they were/are so rare and they just want to down play the 1LE because they ain't got one. And in 10 years, when 4th gen cars start rolling across the Barrett Jackson or Mecum auction blocks as collectables which ones do you think are going to be sought after? The 1 of 100,000 or so run of the mill t-top Z's or 1 of about a 100 or so rare 1LE's??? My 1LE that I ordered 20 years ago is 1 of only 2 blue on blue 1LE's ever built and the ONLY one delivered to the US. (the other was Canadian).
