Ok so I don't want to tint any taillights, but who has done it? I have 12 marker lights on my work truck that I want to spray tint. Just looking for tips and pointers.

spray tint with VHT Nite Shades paint, then follow up with clear coat. polish it out 'til it's shiny. done.

i had some on my car, but took 'em off because of concerns for being rear-ended. they did look good, though.

Mike

This is one lame illegal idea. Think about the other drivers than might not see you and die as a result.

Ya, I know it's so damn cool lookin"

No, what it is is a crime in the making.

No, what you are is an ignorant tool. There is nothing illegal about tinting lights, they can still be seen just fine if you don't paint them black. Thanks for the lack of constructive help.

Maybe it's my fault you cannot read. They are clearance marker lights, about 12' off the ground, if someone doesn't see the 22 foot long white truck with headlights and taillights on, the marker lights won't save them.

AMEN, Tightwad.

There's a common sense reason taillights are on vehicles. Reducing or obscuring their brightness is idiotic.

Just make sure any lights you tint are the legal color. For instances side clearance light must be yellow to be legal. In amny sates blue or redlights are illegal except for emergency vehilces for example.

Any light on a vehicle is there for safety not to make you look "cool".

There a lots of safe better ways to trick out your ride so pick one of them instead.
