but much of Frods nubers were from fleet and rental sales. I see them gpoing to haonda for the same reasons they bought Toyota;if they change.

To answer the poll, ultimately I say Ford will be the big winner, with Honda, GM, and Hyundai in that order.
Between the new Fiesta and the new Focus, there is going to be little competition for Ford. They will be the segment leaders.
Honda will pick up the anti-Detroit crowd, those who will never buy an American car again, which polls have shown is about 30% of buyers. Otherwise, Honda's sales haven't been that spectacular the last few years. The Accord and Civic are still big sellers, but many other vehicles in their lineup are languishing. Acura is languishing badly.
GM's new offerings will probably win some converts. The still have the stigma from taking the loans and going into bankruptcy, so I don't think it'll be as high as Honda.
I put Hyundai last because even though they seem to be gaining favor, they are still a very small operation. For example, they only increase 4,000 sales last month to 34,000 units vs. Feb '09. Honda sold 77,000, GM sold 141,000, and Ford sold 142,000. Ford, Honda, and GM's size will simply allow them to gain more conquest sales.

Ford has some good styling and ergonomics with a lot of their models but I still can't get past the many problems they've had with reliability. I think GM has a black eye and the government bailing them out certainly didn't do them any favors with public perception.
I'm going down to the Toyota dealer tomorrow and look at a new Toyota Corolla they have advertised.. Or maybe it was their new model the Out of Controlla.

Yea, but this should remove some of those GM bad feelings:
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- General Motors will pay off a $6.7 billion federal loan by June, well ahead of the deadline for the repayment under terms of the bailout, company CEO Ed Whitacre said Tuesday.
GM to repay $6.7 billion bailout loan early - Dec. 15, 2009
IF it actually happens, of course.

Doubt it... while Toyota has been slowly derailing other companies have rapidly picked up momentum. People are fickle, they will abandon Toyota and go on to the next company.
