This is correct, the Demon was Dodge's counterpart to plymouth's Duster.

a '71 with a 340 and a pistol grip 4 speed would of been a badass ride and a whole lot of fun and back then they were marketed as an affordable muscle car. dodge really had some of the best styling in the muscle car era and some really cool paint schemes that made them stand out over their ford and chevy counterparts

Oh, brother! Send it back to the drawing board!
Or, better yet, leave the Demon name for the original one.

The ones with the 340 engine were hot, not semi-hot. In many instances, they ran right 383 Road Runners, 390 Fairlanes and 396 Chevelles.

IMO, the original looks about 1,000 times better.

To each his/her own...

I like the looks of the concept, but I liked the looks of several recent Chrysler products. I would not buy any of them because I rate good engineering and reliability above looks.

It looks nothing like a classic Mopar. It looks like a Euro car. Might as well just buy a Euro car!

It's definitely only a Dodge Demon in name. I actually like the concept but it looks more like a car in the S2000/Solstice/Sky vehicle segment. Of course if Dodge tried to make it similar to the classic Mopar car it would somehow weight 5000lbs and have the worst interior on the market in its price segment.

Yeah, why call it a "Dodge Demon?" Why not just give it a bunch of letters for a name, which is common today. Something like "GLZ."

Yep, it's best that Dodge does not try to bring it back. It would weigh about 1,000 lbs more than the '70s Demons.
