When Chevrolet came out with the Corsica, the tight legroom led to the joke that it should have been called the Sardinia. Someone quipped that the best feature was the small gas tank, which gave passengers frequent opportunities to get out and stretch their legs.

Ford, from the 1930s up into the 1950's, had a model called the Tudor. The similar car with four doors was called the Fordor. I'm not kidding.
