I dont see how that thing could compare with the Raptor... that thing looks far too pig-ish to look like a serious desert-racing truck. That thing looks more set up for trails or bogs than serious desert racing.

Exactly. Thats why I dont understand the title of the article/post. Sorry, but that Ram aint gonna catch a Raptor, unless Im missing something. Just doesnt look like the right vehicle.
It's white over black. That kills it for me. Now make it an all black, or blue and we'll see when the local dealer gets one in and I'll see if I can afford to drive it home. Especially if it has the higher hp Hemi. Ford needs to figure out small c.i.d. unpowered overrated engines are not the way to get people excited about their vehicles.

the 2010 SVT raptor comes with a 6.2 liter V-8 with rated at 411 hp at 5,500 rpm and 434 pound-feet at 4,500 rpm as an option over the 5.4
According to F-150 Marketing, the Raptor 6.2 will get to 60 mph 1.5 seconds faster than the 5.4 while matching its fuel economy (as though anyone buying a Raptor will car about MPGs). That should put the 6.2 somewhere in the upper six- to low seven-range for a 0-60 mph run (Mike Levine at PickupTrucks.com clocked a Raptor at 8.8 seconds with a brake torque). But take heed, with more power comes a higher MSRP: the new engine will cost $3,000 more than the carryover 5.4, starting at $41,995 delivered.

Hmmm, they sure seem to sell the crap out of the Mustang GT's.
And as GTOlover pointed out... there is a bigger engine debuting in the Raptor soon.
