I agree too. Too much in this economy for such a high mileage car.

Thanks looks like I will pass. Maybe i'll get some pics of it before it disappears.

Shame though, we're in a recession but people still think we're not or they're pricing their cars as if we were not.

In the past I would have said that Mustang was overpriced. Unfortunately, cash for clunkers has severely raised the prices of ALL used cars, so this Mustang probably is a good deal. I have noticed it big time on Craigslist. Here is an example below:

91 Mirage I Have to Sell ASAP (http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/cto/1643892344.html - broken link)

A year ago this POS would have gone for $800 at best. Look at what it is priced at now.

He's smoking meth if he wants 4500 for that Rustang.

Move along. They are only worth 1-3 for regular ones [non-LX/GT/etc].

Lariat is right, I can't stand how people seem to think their fox body 5.0 is made of gold all of a sudden. That car you're looking at is $2k, $2500 TOPS and that's giving it the benefit of the doubt based on your description. Keep looking around, there are still a lot of these cars out there despite what the sales-y type of people might tell you.

Just for giggles, this 90 GT has been for sale around here and advertised constantly for AT LEAST a year now. What does that say about the price?

My first new car was an '87 GT. I would love to find another someday but like everything else these days, the price is inflated.

If it was a pristine fox body with some tasteful mods, then $4000 would be a little reasonable. For the car you're describing, it's a joke.

Talk about a lesson in how NOT to sell your car.

"Here is what I'm looking to sell it for, but I'll actually go as low as this..."

my personal favorite are the 5.0 LX Sedans...they are more rigid than the hatchbacks, and lighter than the GT's...very fun cars to drive!!

just look up the Kelly Blue Book values in your area, and go from there...there's lots out there, just have to make sure it wasn't abused.

I would love a notchback 5.0 for a project car but they never really made that many compared to the hatchback which out numbers the sedan 3-1 in sales figures
