What's up with Chrysler/Dodge?
GM has new models lining up to debut for the next several years in a row including 2010. Went to Chrysler and car magazine sites and it's like crickets in the Chrysler section. Chrysler's site only has cosmetic changes to existing vehicles and no listing for future vehicles. Are they circling the drain?

Under the control of Cerebus, Chrysler was circling the drain. With the recession, Cerebus had even laid off just about all their engineers and shelved all their future products to stop the bleeding of red ink.
Now with Fiat at the helm, future products and direction are changing and coming into view.
So, if Chrysler can survive the next year or two, you will probably see some new and potentially interesting stuff hit market. That is a big iff too. However, I doubt Fiat will fold their tent right away either as they want back into the US market, and Chrysler has become their road in.

Look for Fiat cars to hit the lineup in another year as 2011 models. A new Jeep Grand Cherokee will be coming out along with the Dodge Durango.
Here is a timeline from Motortrend:
[LEFT] ON SALE: 2010
Ram 1500: Hybrid launches.
Dodge Avenger/Chrysler Sebring: Facelifts mitigate these design and sales disasters until all-new, Fiat-based models arrive. They also get Fiat's new dual-clutch transmission, a compact three-shaft design with six speeds.
Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country, Jeep Liberty, Patriot, and Compass: All get mild facelifts and upgraded interiors.
Dodge Circuit: Lotus-based electric two-seater has been canceled.
ON SALE: 2011
Dodge Avenger coupe: First new Chrysler midsize on a Fiat platform.
2012 Jeeps: Full line gets 70th-anniversary special-edition treatment.
Dodge Grand Caravan/Chrysler Town & Country: Hybrid models launch.
Fiat 500 Cabrio: North American production begins.
ON SALE: 2012
Dodge Viper: After a one-year-plus hiatus, the workingman's supercar returns with an all-new design and powertrain.
Chrysler/Dodge compact sedans: Based on Fiat's Bravo (C-segment) platform, Chrysler's version will likely share styling with the Lancia Delta. Caliber killed.
Ram delivery vans: A small Fiat-based panel van will compete with the Ford Transit Connect, while a larger Fiat-based van will replace the Ram Sprinter.
Alfa 169: This new rear-drive flagship sedan will share the Chrysler 300's LX platform and 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6. Lancia will get a version for Europe only.
ON SALE: 2013
2014 Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger: Facelifts.
Dodge Journey/Chrysler variant: All-new Fiat-based '14 models.
Jeep Liberty: All-new. A next-generation Dodge Nitro version is under consideration.
Jeep Patriot/Compass: Replaced by one C-segment crossover on a Fiat platform.
Dodge Hornet: Chrysler's answer to the Mini finally makes its debut on the Fiat Punto platform.
Chrysler Hornet variant: Probably sharing styling with the next Lancia Ypsilon.
Jeep B-segment crossover: Also on the Hornet's Fiat platform.
Dodge Dakota: Unlikely. Chrysler was considering a Fiat-based, unibody Ram replacement, but the latest intelligence suggests American truck makers see no future expansion of the Honda Ridgeline's segment.
ON SALE: 2014
Dodge Grand Caravan/Chrysler Town & Country: All-new.

Ram has become (or is in the processing of becoming) a stand-alone brand. The truck line should do fine.

Chrysler of its all-new Pentastar V-6 engines on March 15. These two engines will replace Chrysler's seven existing V-6 engines.
The all new 2011 Chrysler 300C begins production in the fall. This, too, is a total redesign. (NOTE: None of the computer renderings or photoshopped images seen in the article are accurate. Only the two images below are.)
The all-new 2011 Dodge Charger won't be far behind the Chrysler 300C. As of right now, however, there are no images of it aside from several heavily-camoflaged mules undergoing real-world testing. Expect better images toward the end of this summer.
The Chrysler Sebring is receiving a MAJOR mid-cycle refresh. No piece of exterior sheetmetal will be the same between the 2010 and 2011 Sebring, and the interior is due for a serious upgrade. Mechanical tweaks are expected as well. The Dodge Avenger will also be given an upgraded interior, but with a more mild exterior refresh.
New engine technology, courtesy of Fiat, will help improve the fuel economy in Chrysler's compact and mid-sized cars for 2011. The new technology can easily be installed on existing engines.
ASIDE: Do NOT listen to any know-it-alls on TV or the internet who insist that Chrysler has "no product in the pipeline." They do have new product, and anybody who has paid any attention whatsoever knows this. It is Sergio Marchionne's (CEO of Chrysler Group LLC) policy not to reveal an all-new product any more than three months in advance of when it will be available to customers. A new Jeep Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300C, and a refreshed Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger, will all be available to customers within the next six months.

They better get some new product out there very quickly as their current vehicles are pretty much "last in class" at a time when the other domestic automakers are launching some exciting product. And the fuel efficiencies of their vehicles is an absolute disgrace.

Chrysler has been hanging on by a thread for the last 30 years. They always pull through one way or another and I expect them to again. I am pretty satisfied with their Jeep lineup right now. Ram has taken their own path and are making some nice trucks.

Chrysler has always been my least favorite out of the Domestic makes, but I still like them.
I'd drive a Jeep or a Ram any day of the week and I still like the Charger even though it's getting dated. The Challenger appeals to me simply because I'm 6'6 and the Mustang and Camaro are not as roomy.
I know here in Eastern MO, Chrysler is king. Half the people I know drive some sort of Chrysler product.
