Did yours come without a spoiler, or did you remove it? Do you detail your engine or have someone else do it?

my cars is a factory spoiler delete car. Ford say one of 15 made like it in the same color combo.

I detailed the engine myself. Powercoated the valve covers and strut bar to match the plenum cover.

Alloy wheels and power package is all I need.

Bought it with 7k on the clock in 7/2003. As of 12:00 PM 4/4/2010 it has

Nothing special here, I just keep it clean and maintained. Cheap to buy ($15k), cheap to run, very dependable car. Trying to squeeze the most miles out of it before buying something else.

Wow, I did not know one of those could last that long. I am not insulting your car, but I have always heard that the engines in those sludge up well before 100,000 miles.

Well- I did research in 2003 on entry level large cars before I bought it. In some forums the consensus was that full synthetic oil should've been mandatory. So since "birth" that's what I ran-- just the cheap stuff (mainly WalMart SuperTech or whatever was on sale), and changed it every 8-10k with a filter change halfway. Haven't changed the routine and it still runs like a top. (keeping my fingers crossed)

The main issue this car has is the front end bushings & brake parts are high maintenance. However the parts are cheap and it's pretty easy to work on. I replaced some control arm & tie rod bushings @ 100k and will need that again + sway bar bushings and links @ 200k if it makes it.

Kinda wish they still made these cars-- I think all the bugs were worked out by '03 but the damage to the name had already been done. Unfortunately the Charger has its own set of problems and its interior looks so damn cheap, even compared to the Intrepid. The seats are not nearly as comfortable either.

Very cool. V8+convertible+stickshift is definitely the only way I'd have a Mustang Nice color, too, although I'd personally take one in black.

Thanks I would have preferred silver with the V-series front bumper, but I got a pretty nice deal on this one
