I don't know if there are any people from the NY area here or who went to yankee games back in the 70's but as a kid inside the scorecards and yearbooks at the Yankee games there was always an ad for a bizarre car that was a hybrid of many many different makes.

It was advertised as "the -------Chysvagen". the Chys of course stood for Chrysler and vagen was the end of Volkswagen or something

does anyone remember this ad and the actual name of the "car" being advertised?

and I'll throw this in as well. When i was at a Yankee game as an 11 year old in June of 1973 I had gotten an autograph from Yankee Lindy McDaniel and i saw him get into a brand new Chev Impala (flesh colored) in the parking lot and drive off. Elston Howard drove off in a 60's Mustang. Always wondered what the ballplayers drove

You might try posting on the New York City forum. Someone there will probably know. Just a suggestion.

Are you thinking of the Anycar commercials? That was a car where each body part was of a different make, model, and color.

I remember seeing the TV spots on the NYC tv channels as a kid in the 60's or 70's. Maybe that's the pic you saw in the Yankees program?
