I have an old escort diesel as my daily driver, for a while last year, diesel was 1.20 a litre, but vegetable oil was only 0.75.

I run it with up to 50% vegetable oil in it with no problems (except for the smell of fries from the exhaust).

As more people began trying that, the veg oil prices crept up tho, and overtook diesel prices, the shops must have got wise and tried to make extra profits.

Veg oil is dropping a little, while diesel is rising, so it's looking tempting again !!

You are in UK, right? Are you guys running ultra-low-sulfur fuel?

I think the whole Diesel game is quite different in Europe from the US.

Yeah, I think so

It's great for the newer diesels, but some of the older ones don't like it.
