Sorry for this stupid question, but here in Sweden we pay gas per litre.
I know you have something with gallon, but I would be glad if someone could explain how it works!

Sorry for my bad english, I'm working on it.
So if petro is about $2.50-$3.00 USD per gallon in America then it would work out to 0.75 - .86 Euro per liter in Europe

then I would say get ready for some great deals on full size trucks ans Suv's. If it goes that high everyone will be unloading them and if you can afford to pay the higher gas prices you can score a really good deal on a nice used super duty or Hemi ram .
it is also good for ford and GM who just re-vamped their small car market with the new focus and chevy Cruze. All which get 40MPG and are priced to sell so they will be a getting a boost in sales of small cars if gas does go that high...
Oil is down to $66 a barrel right now. It's lowest in over 10 months. Gas prices should be "dramatically" lower within the next month. However, it's amazing how slow the at the pump price goes down compared with how fast it goes higher based on oil prices.

Well, have you sat down and thought about how long it takes to clear inventories and\or the amount of time it takes to ship-refine-ship the oil into gasoline?
I've always figured on a lag of around 2 months.

We have already experienced those prices a few years ago (thanks bush/cheney) Everyone was selling off their suv's and other cars like the apocalypse was about to strike. It may hit agian but time will tell.

True, but it's funny how gas stations are QUICK to raise prices when the price per barrel goes up- same or next day they are raising prices, even though the gas in their tanks was purchased at the lower prices of a few weeks ago.

Have you actually plotted this or are you just kinda winging it by personal opinion?
Since you have come to this conclusion, please show us you logical support?
