I don't even know how a 737 looks different to a 787, they all look like planes to me.

Yes, today's airplanes are getting more and more equal and more and more boring to me. If it is a 737/320, 787, Embraer 170/190... still remember this days of DC-9, 727 and other good stuff in the air.

Agreed. Given that airplanes are graceful and have sleek lines I have no idea how one could be considered "masculine" (IMO, of course!).

Now if you want to talk dump trucks and busses or something then yea, there is nothing graceful about either.
