If anyone has interest in different models of airliners, have you ever thought of that some types look more masculine while others look more feminine? I personally do. Here is my list:

I haven't ever spent much time examining aircraft for their particular gender. BUT I did re-route my Asia trip this week to use 747 rather than 777. I DO enjoy the 747, but miss the upper-deck 'care' of the 747-100. (retired from passenger, to Cargo-use)
Those 'waving' wingtips for 8 - 12 hr flights impress me (considering the issues with metal fatigue...)
One too many times and someone, somewhere, is gonna be going DOWN. (I'm insured, what a way to go, beats cancer ... prolonged disability (not that we have a choice, except in OR and WA)

I have to agree, I have never called our aircrafts a "he" no matter how masculine, ugly or butch they are, they have and will always be our "Ladies", and we love our girls!
No way, the A380 looks waaaay to masculine to be a princess. Here are my criteria for determining masculinity or femininity of airliners:
Long, sleek airliners (such as the 767-400) look more feminine than short stubby ones (such as the 767-200).
Four engines look more masculine than two, which is why I consider the 707, DC-8, A340, 747, and A380 masculine.
Tail-mounted engines look more masculine than wing-mounted, which is why I consider the 717, 727, DC-9, and MD-80 masculine.
For widebody trijets, the S-duct on the L-1011's third engine looks more feminine than the in-line duct on the DC-10 and MD-11. Yes, the 727 also has an S-duct, but the other two rear-mounted engines take away from its femininity.

She may be a BBW...
She may not have that hourglass figure...
She may be lugging that lumberjack girth...
BUT, she is still a beautiful lady
(we are a bit stuck on our ladies being the women we love... fat, tall, wide bidy, snub nose.... Heck even the Buluga is a bittch'n sexy momma...... )
