Exactly. That's my point.
I don't know if there are other cities with 2 other major airports within 20 miles of them, but NY doesn't need to be the exception.

Infrastructure? I'm not an expert, but how about closing laguardia? problem solved.
Take that traffic to westchester by adding runways on the golf course right next to it.
Then, according to your explanation (tripower), all routes would be raised to twice the altitude like everywhere else in the world.

Ummmmm.... Yeah, that's gonna happen.........

Wait..... What? You want more airplanes flying over your house?

You seriously need to consider moving, because this is not ever gonna change to your satisfaction, and the stress is not good for you.

So what about the people next to HPN that wouldn't want the extra traffic? They don't count?

You sir are a NIMBY to the Nth degree.

Here is a good website that shows how complex the NYC air traffic situation is. And it doesn't even take MMU, ISP, FRG HPN and others into account.

Was watching JFK arrivals this morning at work when they were landing on the 31s. 5,000' and below approximately 25 miles out on the approach over Long Island and around 7,000' out over the water.

22L is the problem.
You may want to check it out another day.

@groundpounder: yes, they'll get traffic, but it's about even it out a little, unless you're OK with torturing the people of Nassau county 24\7.

There will never be significant expansion at HPN, the NIMBY's there have a lot more money than you do. They can't even trim the trees off runway 29.

(I don'tknow what a nimby is)
Then they need to find another place. LaGuardia is 8 miles from mid town Manhattan, it was built in the 30s and it's too close to JFK, making the airspace traffic the highest in the world according to the people in this forum. I can't imagine what it'll look likein 10 years, NextGen tech or not.
