I just noticed that according to various sources, SMO should be closed by 2028 because the city government wants to redevelop the area:

Santa Monica Airport will close in 2028 and be replaced by a park, officials say - LA Times

The runway may be shortened from 5,000ft to 3,500ft, making it impossible for many aircrafts to take-off or land there.

Does anyone know, if that does affect the JetSuite X operations from SMO to Carlsbad with their Phenom Jet in this summer? I was planning to take this flight, but the phenom jet just needs slightly less then the new 3,500 ft to take off which makes it unrealistic to continue those operations for a longer time. Is there any plan to relocate those operations to another airport, or will the flights be ceased?

If cities had their way hundreds of municipal governments would close general aviation airports. Rarely does a city perceive GA as a positive asset, compared to hundreds of acres of prime property.
