Turns out the good ole doctor has a past! His license was suspended/revoked for doing things he shouldn't. However United Airlines CEO is still groveling and saying regardless no one should be treated the way this passenger was by his airline.
So, United checked the past of every passenger and decided to offboard the doctor since he had a chequered past?
Does it also mean that if a woman who has worked as an escort or in porn movies boards an overbooked United flight, she is most likely to be dragged out of her seat because of her past?
If No, then the doctor's past should not matter either.

Regardless of his "past", he was a paying customer, that was boarded and sat in his paid for seat.
Just BS to smear character. Seems like a low ball tactic to take.
Some lawyer will take on this case, sue for millions, and the airline will settle big time to minimize the publicity. The victim will become an instant millionaire and maybe get enough to buy his own plane. That's how the system works.
United is a disgusting airline. I had a bad experience with them in 2013 and wrote them off due to two changes on connecting flights. This makes me happy to see them tanking in light of this but it is still horrible to see happen.
I haven't been on a plane since before 9/11, and it has nothing to do with fear of terrorism. It has to do with 1. The security measures put in place after 9/11, and 2. The exact situation that happened to this man.
I will drive to any destination in North America. If I can't drive, I will take a bus or train. Because as bad as riding a bus can be, I have never seen bus riders treated as badly as airline passengers. Once you get on a Greyhound bus and sit down, that seat is yours for the remainder of the trip. That is obviously not the case on United.
I know, right? Yes he was mistreated... and he also acted like a total jerk. Not someone I would choose as my physician for sure!
Why not? He seems to have an incredibly high regard for his patients. So much so that he was willing to get beaten up a dragged off a flight, rather than go voluntarily and miss seeing his patients the next day.

The criminal background was revealed by the Louisville Courier-Journal. It's public information, and anyone can access it for a price. Not exactly a smear tactic, as it's not a secret and it's factual. Smearing would be something that may or may not be true, and suits the agenda of the one doing the smearing.
