I found this video of this engineer that "proofs" using planes that the Earth is flat. I just can't fathom this...Anyone want to chime in...This is embarrassing to the engineering community
this guy doesnt seem to think much does he? of course it is a bit more difficult to land on a north/south runway that an east/west runway because the earth is rotating perpendicular to the flight path of the aircraft.
oh and he claim to be a structural engineer, sorry but i dont think i want him to be designing ANYTHING structural for me, and anything i might be in or around.
I admire him for putting himself out there and speak his mind. Back on C-D, people are hiding behind silly screen names petrified they might be "doxxed." I would hire him in a heartbeat, not because he is right but because he is not afraid to think.
Every pilot will tell you that landing north or south is much more difficult than landing east or west. The earth is like a gosh darn aircraft carrier!
I made it almost two minutes into the video.
I also am having trouble discerning whether rbohm is joking or not. Either way, well played.

Why is that? Not a pilot so I seriously don't know.
