Mistel comes to mind FW-190 mounted on a cradle atop a Ju-88

Germans did use a observation a/c on the Eastern Front reminiscient to what the OP posted. Offset glazed in cockpit. Useful a/c I gather.

This thing you would think, would handle poorly.

Looks like something Burt Rutan would design.

The thing about the German designs is that they all seemed to work even though they were asymmetrical or otherwise strange aircraft.

Not sure why this is bizarre ?
B'cuz of the wood ?

One of my favorites !

There were a few different configurations for busting dams, etc, and they all worked well.
A gorgeous aircraft ! Thanks for posting that awesome vid clip.

I was thinking the same thing. Beautiful machine.

....and now for something, completely different.

Jeeps really are a "go anywhere" vehicle.

The 141 wasn't the only unusual, asymmetric configuration aircraft that Blohm & Voss came up with. The single offset jet engined P.178 was yet another peculiar design of theirs. (Admittedly it was a much better looking bird than the 141.)

Blohm & Voss P.178

Judging by their designs, I wonder if the designers were "one-armed"?
