Chemicals? I was talking about the lifting gas. Using an oven? I don't understand that unless you are trying to build a hot-air craft! Is that it?

I really thought this thread was about an R/C model Navy blimp. Knew the o.p. was trolling after three posts as did too few respondents. I'm thinking this has to be some kind of record but what do I know. Coal... this is beyond tolling, this is art. Baron Cohen, eat your heart out.

Don't tell Obama. He hates coal.

Also, were would you store the coal and coal burner? That is going to be a lot of weight.

Anyway, I am going to try and have a few feet of storage so that I can place the coal there and then I will have the burner in a certain place near the rear of the gondola, I will keep it separate from the place for the passengers.

Coal is inefficient for its weight/volume, and messy too.

And as regards "chemicals", if you think about it, everything is made of them, including you, me, coal, etc.

It's totally feasible. Just have someone toss the coal briquets up to you. If you're too high for throwing, they can shoot them up with an air gun. You'll need something like a butterfly net to catch them.

I have no idea why the OP needs a blimp or dirigible since there is obviously no shortage of hot air with which to float without benefit of external means.

Perhaps this video will present other ideas!
