Default Sheriff's race

It is disgraceful how little attention has been paid to the sheriff's race in Baltimore City. The incumbent, John Anderson, who has failed in his primary duty -- witness protection, is seeking re-election. Lots of other irregularities (google) on his watch. Among his challengers is one of his underlings, Lt. Deborah Claridy. She can hit the ground running and deserves to be elected.

Having lived here for only about half the time that Jessamy has been in office and some of the high profile crimes that have happened..... It appears that her office became to preoccupied in the intervention side of the system instead of the prosecution side. I think Bernstein made a good point in saying that that should not be the FOCUS of the State's Attorney's Office though certainly it should work along with organizations and agencies whose focus is intervention and track those individuals so that if they go into this type of program and still go back out on the street and commit crimes then their freedom will certainly should be in jeapordy.

I think Baltimoreans both black and white are sick of crime in general and want changes...so my hat goes off to Mr. Bernstein and I hope he can deliver.

Interesting article that speaks volumes in terms of some of the issues of race.
