Default Getting to BWI/Columbia Mall from White Marsh Park & Ride (by public transport)

Can someone tell me how I could get to

1) BWI
2) Columbia Mall

from White Marsh Park and ride lot through public transport? I'm coming from Boston by Megabus. I would be getting down at White Marsh P & R around 4 p.m. on a Friday. Which one of the above two destinations would be easier to get to?

Thanks in advance,

White Marsh park and ride is not the most convenient place to access public transit. It will be pretty difficult to access the Columbia Mall via transit from there at 4 p.m. You can get to downtown via the No. 35 bus (which stops in the same area as the Megabus) or the No. 15 bus (you have to walk through the parking lot to the mall to get it).

Once downtown, you get off the bus at Howard St. and take the light rail (make sure to get on a train that says BWI-Thurgood Marshall and not Cromwell) to BWI airport. From there you can take a Howard County Silver Route bus to Columbia Mall.

August 2010 15 Weekday (http://mta.maryland.gov/services/bus/routes/bus/August_2010_15_Route_Weekday.cfm - broken link) No. 15 schedule

Route 35 Weekday (http://mta.maryland.gov/services/bus/routes/bus/aug2010_35week.cfm - broken link) No. 35 (recommended over the 15)

Route Schedules - Howard Transit Howard County schedules

I would count on the whole trip to Columbia Mall taking the better part of 3-4 hours with transfers. Seems criminal, huh?

Yikes... unless you just want to go to Columbia Mall specifically....If you just want to go to A mall.. then you can go to White Marsh Mall right next door and call it a day. In the future you may want to consider Bolt Bus which goes to Penn Station in downtown Baltimore. From there you can take either the MARC Train or Amtrak to BWI

Seconded. I prefer their service, too.
