Im moving to Baltimore, the dundalk area, to study for about 3 yrs and would like to know the major differences someone from Miami(me) might face during my time there. Is Baltimore diverse, dangerous, outgoing places, climate comparison, any difference between the two cities that could give me an idea of what im getting into....

Baltimore County in my opinion is rascist. The place llok run down to me. Alot of poor people live there. The prices for homes are very cheap.

Baltimore is diverse and yes parts are dangerous but like Miami its all over the drug game and people who know each other. The climate is 4 seasons with a mild winter, hot/humid spring and summer and comfortable fall. You might actually enjoy the weather (Humidity ain't Florida bad). Its a great region that offers tons of professional opportunities and educational opportunties as well. Check out dowtown on a weekend and explore Fells Point, Canton, Federal Hill where young professional live and the entertainment can be found..

Thanks zippy7fo, I think I will enjoy a real winter and fall for the first time. I am going to look into falls point, canton, federal hill, and dt Baltimore. When I get there in august I'll ask around for the location of these places of interest, I was also told that D.C. is close by too so it will be another first for me.
