Can anyone offer neighborhood suggestions for a professional family with 2 small children? We are "ubanites"; yet, after college/grad school, et al., we are no longer interested in city living anymore. However, we'd like an area with tons of culture, cool neighbors, diversity a decent school; and easy access to shopping and a major highway.

Check out Rogers Forge its a nice neighborhood of townhouses and within walking distance to shopping. It's also served by what are probably some of the best schools in Baltimore County.

What's your budget?

Are you looking for acreage or a house on a small lot with neighbors a driveway's width away?

Except for the schools issue the rest is an oxymoron.

All those things are still accessible... just a car drive away from any neighborhood in the Towson area. Pick one that makes sense for other reasons like commute route or best rec council sports or closest to the bosses golf course for easy availability to schmooze.
