I do find it interesting that if a incident like this would have happened 3 miles from the DC border in Maryland, it would clearly be discussed as "PG county crime or Montgomery County crime." I think the fact that Baltimore City shares its name with the county leads people to lump all of "Baltimore" together for media purposes.

For the record, PG county residents also share the same beef. Crime there is rarely covered as an "Suitland murder" or "Oxon Hill assault." Everything is just labeled and captioned "Murder in PG county."

I will admit personally, the fact that the crime was 3 miles from the city border doesn't reflect well on either juristiction. The city will get the blame, and people will start to be scared that the "county" is being ghettofied by displaced city residents. I have no idea if this is true or not, but I would be surprised if the principle players in this tragedy weren't all locals.

This started from a McDonald's memo that called it the "incident in Baltimore". It might have been more accurate to say a county in the vicinity of Baltimore, but people need a well known name marker to get a general idea first before they get the specifics.

Forgive my ignorance. What is a transdude?

Those two beasts need to be charged with a hate crime. I would call them animals but that would be an insult to animals. Does anyone know the condition of the girl?
