reenforcing the fact THAT (BALTIMORE =FAILURE OF A CITY!!!!) seriously they are waiting for every decent non drug addict to leave the city then real hell will break loose and tourism and the economy will tank even faster. For TOD or any development to work here the crime and high density of smokers need to be reduced big time. Otherwise there is no hope for this city.

Exactly right. Thanks.

Its unfortunate if someone is killed or robbed at night in Baltimore our tendeancy is for us to ASSUME that they were asking for it because they either shouldnt of been there or they were doing something illegal. What if they were working third shift at the hospital and just got off and were waiting for the bus?? Or, walked into a carryout or gas station just to get something to eat going to or from work at a third shift job??? Sad that this type of thing happens to folks when they are guilty of doing nothing but trying to earn a living and get to and from work or home.

I stand corrected on this incident. In my original post, I didn't mention this gentleman was doing anything illegal. I mentioned that I didn't know what he was doing until the report was complete. He was robbed and killed for no reason. Luckily, the guy was caught who had also killed a senior citizen.
Reading Murder Ink is usually my source for what happens with crime in this city. It is a great source and will return to further information once it has been solved. Unfortunately, it personalizes crime in this city so it is not always a "fun" column. I have actually saved it to my favorites and read it quite often for updates.
