Looking for a small neighborhood restaurant with great food that we can walk to from the Hyatt on Light Street. Italian, French or seafood. Not a chain, but a little gem that locals frequent, also not too pricey. If it's any help, our favorite restaurants in DC are Bistro La Bonne in the U Street Corridor and Founding Farmers.

My favorite around there is not Italian, French or Seafood. It's Byblos, great Lebanese, more of a cafe than a formal restaurant: Byblos - Baltimore, MD

I can't think of any French places in walking distance.

You can walk around the harbor (past the boats, across President Street) to Little Italy and choose from several Italian restaurants. Everybody has their favorite, I like Amicci's best: Amiccis

Amiccis, Brewers Art, Ryleighs would be my 3 top picks for a moderate priced meal. Brewers Art would require a cab or the circulator. The other two are easily walkable. Mccormick and Schmicks, albeit a chain, is an upscale chain that has a good location on the water (with patio seating if the weather is good) and is always good.

Byblos has good food, but is more of a take out sort of place imo.

There's a ton of places to eat in and around the harbor, tripadvisor is a great resource for seeing them and reviews.

Default Near Inner Harbor

Try Vino Rosina - Exeter St. - not far from Little Italy, and a really nice vibe. Just opened up a year+ ago. It's my new fav. lunch spot and serves a nice dinner too.
