Less than 2 hours, probably clsoser to 1 1/2. 95 North to Rte 1 South (Christiana, Delaware).... pretty hard to screw up.

That's the route I used to take.

I think the Nascar race is this weekend. Baaaad traffic awaits you in Dover.

A little place known as the Monster Mile. Any other time it's a pretty sleepy town.

NO WAY IN HECK WOULD I TAKE 95... There is only 1 lane in each direction thru MOST of Delaware due to on-going construction.... Id take 95 as far north as Perryville and then jump on Rt 40 all the way past Christiana & then onto Route 1

Take 40. I used to live in Bear, DE. You do NOT want to go through Dover. You'll be stuck for hours.

Personally I would go 97 South to 50/301 to go over the Bay Bridge. I LOVE those little DE backroads. You can fly on them, and even if you get stuck behind a slow person - you can pass. Go over the Bay Bridge, stay on 301, then 302 to 44 to Rt. 8 to Dover....

I WOULD not go up 95 and around Delaware and then back down Route 1. Route 1 will be a MESS b/c of the race.
