Well visiting as a tourist, but just venturing the city.

I'm from and live in D.C.
For what it matter I'm young and black.

With that said if I was to go to Baltimore with DC apparel on would that cause trouble?
Like every city has their style of fashion and with no exception DC and Baltimore dudes dress a bit differently......like we can tell if someone is from Baltimore just by the way the dress, same for Philly and NYC. I obviously dress like I'm from D.C., and I'm sure people are gonna pick up on that.

Do you think I'd encounter any problems if I was to ride public transit in Baltimore if I had on a Washington Nationals fitted cap and New Balance 498 shoes? (Only people from DC wear that combo).

This is a serious question.
I'm not scared for anything like that I just don't want to get any BS just because I'm from D.C...........

I don't think you'll have any problems if you stick the tourist friendly and/or nicer parts of town. I doubt anyone will notice even.

Quite frankly I doubt anyone would even really care.

Yeah, round here we wear New Balanche 299s. You'd better get a pair if you don't want to be ostracized.

???

People are a lot less judgmental here, I promise.

A lot of people wear Nationals stuff around here (edit: well not that many, since I don't think that many people even wear Nationals stuff in Washington). Not that most people really care anyway, but I'd be willing to bet most Baltimoreans would rather you be wearing a Nationals hat as opposed to a Yankees or Red Sox one

I'm really curious - what (other than sports gear) would identify someone as being from DC, Baltimore, Philly or NYC?

I've seen people walk around in a Hines Ward Jersey's and not get bothered. Unless you are on the bad end of a drug deal in parts of East or West Baltimore you'll be completely fine. Baltimore is a very friendly town, much more like a midwest town than it's Mid-Atlantic Neighbors.
