I may relocate to the Baltimore area in the coming months for a job located in Towson. One community I'm considering is Jarrettsville. Please give me comments about the town, school system, taxes, residents, etc. as I'm looking for a nice family community in which to raise my children who are in elementary school. Thank you.

My Fiance Grew up in Phoenix (basically Jarrettsville) and loved it. I have spent a lot of time there and love it as well.. I like the small town feel that it has while being so close to the city. Hunt Valley is close, too - so everything you would ever need is within a 5-10 minute drive.

I know there was an oil spill a few years back at the four corners, so beware of that.

I would love to move there once I start a family!

Grew up in Fallston and then moved to Monkton-know Jarretsville/Madonna area well.

HS would be North Harford. My GF went there.

Predominantly white and definitely rural, but great area IMO. If you like city life, not the town for you. Safe, clean and reasonably close to both Towson/Bel Air.

I will send my gf the link and see if she has any inputs for you.

You are thinking of Jacksonville, not Jarrettsville.

Jarrettsville is in Harford County.

It's more "rural" than Bel Air but there's still quite an amount of development. Living in Jarrettsville is fine.
