I cannot believe the number of farmers markets now available in the city for fresh, local food. I stopped by the Fells Point market yesterday. There were quite a few vendors. Anyway, I thought I would post the markets that are available:

Wow, you are such a public servant. The Saratoga market is actually worthwhile. Great variety and mostly good prices. I was at the Fells Point market yesterday as well (sorry I misssed you). It was extremely disappointing. More like a craft show. The prices were outrageous compared to Saratoga. For example, I get fresh kale for a dollar a pound at Saratoga St.(which is actually a plastic grocery bag full of kale) At Fells, I saw kale at $3.00 for a small rubber banded bunch I would estimate at 1/4 pound if that. Maybe it will grow into something nice, but I think the vendors are trying to take advantage of the more affluent Falls/Canton residents.

Hopefully they can make it a sticky as it is a good resource. My two favorites are the Waverly and the Sunday downtown. But, having their locations and times listed is cool for folks with a variety of schedules.

This is a wonderful thread! I hate having to visit the supermarket only to get stale fruit and veggies. Any farmers markets in the county????
