Question Essex Baltimore: i have a friend moving there

i have a friend looking to move to East Baltimore county, Essex i guess, and i have no clue what the are is like. i am from Pennsylvania so i don't know whether it is a safe place to live. as i said before i am not from the area but i am a very paranoid person and need to know whether the area is safe or now. anyone who has lived in the area or lives near the area. please tell me about the area. Thank you for your time

JaBradshaw is on a distinguished road
Essex, like anywhere else has its bad parts, it's overall okay though. Kind of a blue collar town. Good Schools though. Eastern Tech High is always rated real well and Kenwood has an IB/Magnet prorgam. Lots of 1950s row houses, but there has been some new development in recent years.

Essex, Dundalk or Middle River have similarity with small town PA especially the western part of PA...you can easily adapted into it
