Because there isn't enough demand to justify building one.

But I agree that it would be quite convenient.

I don't even think Annapolis has an Amtrak station doubt a light rail station would ever be undertaken.

Nor does it have a Greyhound bus station, an airport (unless you count the privately owned Lee Airport in Edgewater which can only handle small aircraft like Pipers or Beechcraft) or a MD State Police barracks.

And this would benefit Annapolis how? As a former Annapolitan I can tell you this ain't happening. The B&A trail is bad enough.

No. 14 bus from Patapsco Station is the only way I know of. Goes down Ritchie Hwy all the way to Annapolis.

Most people are probably going to tell you to get a car. I'm an advocate for improved public transit but the reality is that car is king in this region and the U.S. in general.

Right, because a bike trail somehow increases crime in Annapolis. Why don't you just build a wall?

I find it odd that capital of Maryland is so inaccessible by public transit. Deandre has a point at the very least there should be some convenient way for folks to get to and from Baltimore without a car. Then again maybe the demand is not there. Maybe a link to the New Carrollton station in PG as well.

You hit on it right there. A route from New Carollton has been studied ad infintum and the numbers don't ever work, even with the creative accounting employed by transit authorities.
