Default Best Towns For Relocation in the Baltimore Suburban Area

Good Evening:

My family and I are possibly relocating to the Baltimore area. I lived down there about 15 or so years ago, but do not know much about the area now.

I have heard that Eldersburg (of all places) is an upcoming place. What other towns in Carroll, Baltimore, Harford County, MD or even York County, PA have the right mix of-
1. Decent taxes and cost of living (I know taxes are high, but nowhere near as high as Fairfield County, CT). I am in the market for a 2500-3000 sq. ft. house, prices around $400K-$500K or less )which I have seen in real estate listings from this area-it is actually possible to afford as decent size house without dropping $800K and up)!
2. Decent school systems. Which ones are the best in the areas mentioned above? I heard Southwestern in York County, PA is great.
3. Great youth soccer towns.

Please let me know. Thank you!

Best,

Jondora

Pretty much anywhere in Carroll County. Eldersburg, Sykesville, Westminster, Taneytown, Hampstead, Manchester would all be good choices.

In Carroll county, the better rated schools are in Westminster or Eldersburg.

I'd stick with Eldersburg, Sykesville, Westminster, or Mt. Airy. Hampstead and Manchester might be a culture shock coming from CT.
