HI, I'm moving into the 21217 zip of Baltimore and need some help identifying what the city ordinances or laws are for the parking of the relocubes/pod type cargo containers.

It could need to be on-site for up to a week.

Thanks.

I wouldn't depend on an answer from a discussion forum. I could tell you the answer in our town but not in Baltimore. you might try here

Baltimore City Citizen Services

I think they should be able to get you a definitive answer

My roommate in Canton a while back had a POD 'parked' overnight on a main street in the neighborhood (in front of our home); I'm pretty sure I recall her having to contact the city for a permit.

I'm not depending upon an online forum for an answer, I'm crowdsourcing possible solutions to the questions I have about what codes Baltimore has and where one can see them explained.

I found this: Baltimore (City of) - TransForm Baltimore- City Zoning Code- Draft 2.0 - §14-403. Permitted Temporary Uses

The part in particular about the Temporary Storage Containers seems relevant, but I don't believe that a permit isn't needed.
Thanks.

General Services is the place to call.. anything on any City sidewalk or street that will block it and is not a properly licensed or parked motor vehicle will need a minor priviledge aka Permit from the City. The only time that I have ever known the city to let this one slide was during snowmegeddon and the plastic chair riots..where people were holding dug out spaces for their personal vehicles with plastic chairs, junk, and coolers...though the City later made clear that no city street parking space can be reserved without a permit versus a plastic "chayuhr"

With the ABF U-Pack it seems to me one can get a temporary permit and the city might even post a temporary parking restriction. I saw this once on Remington Avenue and the driver backed that 20 foot trailer into that spot easier than most of us can parallel park.
