Hi
I need to drive my wife to near U.S.Courthouse in Baltiomore downtown for Citizenship interview.
I have to wait outside for about 2 hours while she is done with her interview.
Since the parking is very expensive, I thought I will drive to near by McDonalds or something similar where I can park for free and come back when I get call from her.
Can some one please suggest nearby places where I can park for free. I dont mind driving about 5 or more miles.

Thanks a lot in advance

Does she have a cell phone? Do you?

Assuming so... I'll suggest that you go have lunch somewhere and maybe play some pool.
google Fells Point

I haven't been there in YEARS... but it used to be good:

It will be pretty tough to find free parking. What I might do in this situation is drop her off, then look for a metered or pay-to-park spot somewhere around the Enoch Pratt Free Library (400 Cathedral St.) or City Cafe (1001 Cathedral St.) and then just hang out in the library or City Cafe.

I think you could park for free on one of the residential streets in the Otterbein/Federal Hill neighborhoods for an hour or two without a permit. It's a few blocks due south of the courthouse on the other side of the convention center.

Library is a good idea. Streets of Mt. Vernon north of Franklin are free 3 hour visitor parking.

Go to the Southside Marketplace or McHenry Row in Locust Point. Plenty of Fast food restaurants and places to wait.

^ I know it's your lifequest to mention South Baltimore in every single post, but doesn't really seem like this guy's looking for boutique retail establishments. He doesn't even want to pay for 2 hours of parking.

Thanks for the diatribe, but there is a McDonalds, Chipotle and free parking. Pretty sure nearby McDonalds with free parking was the request!
