Can anyone please recommend a good bakery in Baltimore?

I don't know if they sell "mainstream" cakes, but Ace of Cakes is a show on the Food Network which showcases this bakery in Baltimore. The bakery specializes in really extreme cake decorating. Think: Cakes in the shape of seagulls and Capitol Hill. Anyway, people rave about how good the cake is. From watching the show, I am under the impression that they bake regular goods also. Ace of Cakes is the show the, the actually bakery is called Charm City Cakes. If you go on their website, you can get info on prices and how much time you have to give them and stuff. It's a big expensive, but boy are those cakes incredible!!! I saw them at "The Wire" charity event and the cake they had there was really cool.

Their cakes start at $500. That would be fine for a major event like a wedding, however I'm looking for a good bakery where I can get cakes for smaller events at the office.

Try Patisserie Poupon. The one in DC is better, IMO, but it's still a great bakery.
