Hometown flavor as in drunks, drug dealers, dirtbikes, and groups of thugs congregating on Eutaw street all day and night? That **** is for the birds and most tourists would not feel safe on that strip.

When I say intermodal at this location.. atleast it would include Commuter Buses, Metro Subway, and most of the MTA City Buses that are spread out throughout downtown now on numerous corners. If all of this activity is concerntrated.. atleast the MTA Police and BPD can get a better handle on protecting the legit riders from those bent on using bus shelters as places to sell drugs, loiter or rob people. The surface lot between Eutaw and Paca Street next to the Market seems like a logical place to start given its proximity to the Metro Subway, Light Rail and Fayette Street. It could also be the central area for tour buses thus giving visitors a starting point.

By indudating the area with commuters, tourists, and other shoppers along with common sense community policing.. you will push most of the illicit activities out of the area (and unfortunately into other areas) but atleast you can reclaim the market and some of the business district that surrounds it....

Tell me about it I caught the Greyhound bus from DC to Baltimore one time because MARC doesn't do weekends and the #B30 from Greenbelt wasn't running yet so I caught the bus to the bus terminal off of Russel street and its sooooo out of the way. I didn't feel like waiting for the #27 to come so I walked to the Hamberg light rail stop and there were so many twists and turns not to mention it isn't exactly the safest walk. The Greyhound terminal, as well as all other modes of intercity transit should be moved to or near Penn station.
