I know Patterson park itself is good for walks, but I am looking for a fenced in dog park where he can run full speed off leash.

I saw one in Canton, but I heard a few concerning things about it, specifically that there were an unusually high number of aggressive dogs with inattentive owners. I don't mean so called "aggressive breeds". I know better than that. I'll be bringing a Doberman and maybe my GFs boxer myself. I don't believe in "bad breeds" or anything like that. I'm talking about dogs which are poorly socialized and unreasonably aggressive towards other dogs or people.

Any recommendations and/or reviews would be appreciated. Thanks.

There's a new big one in Patterson Park. Nicest one so far in the city.

The Patterson Park dogparks are by far the best; cleaned and well taken care of daily by volunteers. I take mine there almost daily and they love it. There are two parts--one for big dogs, the other for smaller and older dogs. Misbehaving dogs are not tolerated as many of the same people use it daily and are quick to handle any issue.

Paw Point looks pretty sweet. I had thought about checking that one out. Its a bit too far for me to go daily, but it will probably be a weekend stop. The site says something about tags. Is there a park specific tag they give you for that one? It seems most other parks just give you a gate code.

Cool. Thanks. Luckily it looks like this is the only one that has a tag. For a minute I had this picture of multiple park tags + name + license + vaccination = a jingling jailer's keyring around his neck.
